Student-made tribute video for California educator premieres at 2014 NEA Foundation gala

Kimberley Gilles, an English educator at Monte Vista High School in Danville, CA, was honored as one of the top educators in the nation at the NEA Foundation’s  2014 Salute to Excellence in Education Gala in Washington, DC on Feb. 7, 2014. She is one of five educators to receive the Horace Mann Award for Teaching Excellence and $10,000. Her students have already benefited from her award. This fall, they received digital arts training, which they used to create this original video honoring their teacher.
